Fanasy Artist

Sooooo.... there is plenty of fantasy artists out there PLENTY and alot are skillful in what they do. Sooooo.... being me i choosed someone from my deviant art who i am following page and i got Kirk Quilaquil. He is able to create characters with no boundaries as to what any fantasy artist knows and does. Then he does put his own twist on "old" characters. I could be very well be inspired by him this winter/spring but he illustrates on the computer. BUT, he does have a dark interest and i can play off of that since ive been beginning to go that direction this fall. And there is alot of figure drawings so i really do need them. It will definitely be an interesting art year. I will definitely be putting more detail in my characters and using my flair of color to broaden my dark side of art. Though he does have a very good fair of detail pieces. So i will not be using the help of a computer maybe ;D hahahaha itd be interesting

And So It Begins

Slowly walking cross the floor
Ever so gracefully does she walk
Hands gently carrying the item so dear
Slowly breaking it does
Caressing the brittle and fragile surface
Falling apart tearing at the seams
She cries and weeps ever so quietly
Franticly trying to hold it together
Wallowing in her progressing pain
Falling to ashes goes her heart

2 art pieces

My favorite piece i have to say is uhhhhh..... between Scared, Sunset Wish, and Asian Sea :D that count? Scared has alot of conflicting issues being brought up, sunset and sea is both very pretty landscapes. But i think that i influenced my sea piece alot cuz i love asia n all the different cultures.

my favorite piece of as this moment and for awhile now is Biohazard by sakimichan. I found their work on deviant art and i love the colors in this piece and the wings... o n the fact its a dude and the hair is hot. XDDD

It has in common with my most favorite piece of mine is the colors i guess very different. What makes them different is that ones a figure and the other is a landscape. Both work on my 100 thing list is that i said art styles my art style in my piece is completely different from sakimi and i love that fact that not one picture is ever the same :>

Tokyo Godfathers

i have to say this was the first time i watched this anime movie tonight XD it was funny n a perfect holiday movie but its not quite a Halloween type of movie. Satoshi Kon is the director, animator, and writer of this film. Also is the director of the popular anime tv show Paranoia Agent. Born on October 12, 1963 in Kushiro. He is a very talented artist in his field of work. But, he began like so many others an interest in manga. So after High School he attended Musashino Art University, where he studied Visual Art Communication Design. Became interested in feature film which would lead him to where he is today. Now he has more stuff then just Tokyo Godfathers and Paranoia Agent but theres the linky stuff

Okay.... soooooo

yea so ive been really sort of busy lately but being busy = more work being done.... crazy? yes. doesnt make any sense? yes. but i will explain to the best of my abilities... so i discovered the past couple years that if im put under pressure or have a ton of projects to do i work more efficiently C: like when i work better with 7hrs to 4hrs of sleep, though i love sleep. so anyways i get bored very easily but being constantly having projects it makes me get the done more on time and sometimes better quality. which leads to y i am ahead a lil in ap art :/ didnt want to seem like a snob or anythin but ive been really excited and more enthusiastic about this year. o and on that note i really wanted to finish my 7th piece for the portfolio review to give them more options but.... i realized i dont have many profile/figure pieces... *sighs* depressing maybe i can squeez my 8th piece this week :3

Crappy poem #2 O:

Walking across the beaten path
Shadows engulfing my body
Strange whispers entangle my ears
Promising sweet joys of glory
Reaching towards my promised goal
Faltering at a misguided step
I race on to finish what i had started

story numbah 2

aight well im pretty sure theres a ton of stories i could mention but im pretty sure the most significant one was a post i did earlier of Hayao Miyazaki and Princess Mononoke. So anyways i remember when i was little, during the summer, my nana n papa would take me to these museums and i would DREAD it D:< dead serious here. It just ment standing, walking around a big building, looking at what ever was there. I WAS BORED! ugh it was horrible n the fact that nana walked slow was torture DX... but now that i have "matured" i can stand the visits more XP.... and since im on a roll with stories i have another i just thought of it. So it was like 6th grade and i just found neopets and i was ESTATIC D:<. Anyways theres these faeries on the site and they were spaztastic on a bun and i would print off the color pages n color them in O:. So evidently curiousity got to the best of my friends n they wanted them too, so i kept printing them off and then mom's printer ran out of ink o-o ...... lets just say mom wasnt happy O:

STORY TIME O:

So here I am trying to think back when I was eight or younger and seriously can't think of a significant story to tell (without goin emo). So I remember it was my fourth birthday party and it was at the restaurant at bangor Paul's used to be where Smokey Bones is. So there I was at my Lion King themed party getting a green Simba dress, the Simba lion cub plushie that rawrs, and a bunch of other stuff. When the party was done we went outside and I was happy as can be with my Simba plushie in my right arm with my Simba balloon in my left hand. I don't really remember how it happened but I lost my grip on the balloon and i started to cry. Personally I have no idea why this memory was so visual in my mind because honestly it felt all like a dream till I was five and till then I didn't have a conscious. Its weird seriously.

HAHAHA crappy poem >->

Walking through my memories
I sigh
Wishing I've done something different
Sighing more
Regretting things that I did to hurt
Turning away
Questioning things why did I do them
Looking up
Remembering why I am here
I smile

Jamie Wyeth >-> *sighs*

Aight here I go there has been some sort of debate between Mrs. Chan and Detchen (ill fix this later) and its about Jamie Wyeth about whether or not he his art work is dark and morbid. Unfortunately I got dragged and stuck in the middle of their childish fight D:< So I am going to give my honest opinion on the matter. What you determine to be dark, morbid, happy, sad, loving etc. is all to the eyes of the beholder. In this case Mrs. Chan and Detchen are both right because its their opinion :3. But I honestly see nothing morbid in this my definition of morbid: blood and gore galore, portrayal of some horrible conditions (Shinler's List an example it wasnt that graphic it was the lil girl in the red coat and the bodies). I can make millions of examples but after going through Wyeth's works I see nothing morbid in anycases by my standards. Some are dark but thats it DARK nothing beyond that end of story. There are some "happy" paintings but thats it im done I will no longer be int hte middle of this anymore D:<.

Here We Go Again

Haha ok so i got a jungle book song in my head i wanna b like you XD classic... so anyways after just watching the video haha (I'm sorry i get distracted) and posting on liz's blog i got to thinking what really started it all and my ambition. I mean I've been drawing all my life and shown a lot of intrest in art. But it really didn't get serious till i was 10 after viewing Princess Mononoke by Hayao Miyazaki. I was amazed with how amazing the drawing was and it was the surest thing i was hooked on anime. I just had to learn it and about it. Sure I was watching salior moon, card captor sakura, and dragon ball but it seemed like any other cartoon at the time. Up until reacent years did I realize what Miyazaki was showing in the flim, think it was awesome for the longest time for the art work and graphics. But then after awhile not watching it I bought it and sat down and really watched it and I was truelly moved. It had more meaning then some crackpot hollywood movie that I have ever saw. Sure the characters were fictional but if you watch it you will realize what happens in the movie is what we have been doing and what are doing right now killing the wildlife, forrestry, and the planet. Yes, yes we have all heard it before and sounds like a broken record but a lot Hayao's films have that impact on me and basically started it all. He is the main reason why I have wanted to become a computer animator more importantly an anime artist so I can have that impact on someone else watching my film or my anime and have it all click with them that instant.

Wellll.... LA DI DA

I don't know about you but there is just a lot of songs that I can't get out of my head @-@ Automatic - Tokio Hotel, All These Things I Hate (Revolve Around Me) - Bullets For My Valentine, Ignorance - Paramore, and Animal I've Become - Three Days Grace. Which I've notice has been giving me some very dark thoughts for sketches and artwork for my breadth o-o.

Um.... o ya and I really need to touch up the works I did over the summer that I'm putting off DX. I hate having all these great ideas and can't use them yet cuz I have previous works looming over my shoulder saying "FINISH ME! D:<" >-> but o well, ta ta Brina

To Be or Not to Be

Well quite frankly I am an artist I generally fall on to the anime/comic side of the spectrum.  I've grown up with art and its in my blood and generally brag about it :>.  Instead of a pony that does just one trick (which no one likes D:>) I don't just draw anime style pieces of work I make landscapes, portraits, and still life's (which through all my complaining I do love to do ;D).P  Plus a ton of sketches/doodles on any sort of paper. Though the best part I think of art is that you can express what you want to and show your true colors ^(O-o)^ WHOO!  So I also think its good to mention who I get these awesome skills influenced by (a lot of manga artists but I can't remember at this time ;P) M. Alice whose the creator of Bizenghast (creepy, but talented work), my Nana whose a fantastic landscape artist, and I'm sure indirectly for the longest time Vincent Van Gough though I didn't realize till last years art project.  A lot of my work is influenced to what I am listening for music at the time and to what I feel.  Well, toodles! <3 Brina *art work done by M. Alice*
